Framing Day10- Looks like a flipping house now.

first floor tray celings Although this is techinically day 14 , these pictures are from day 10.  The first floor tray ceilings are in and they look really good.  We dropped the ceiling by 6 inches and created a 10 by 10 box in the middle.  The then cut a 2×6 and nailed it in each corner to create an octagon look in the ceiling.  I like to use this design in all of the houses that I rehab.  Flipping houses can be fun when rehabbing the property.  You can use all kinds of creativity that adds your own touch.  Most house flippers in the area seem to have their own trademark that they use in all of the properties.  This tray ceiling is one of mine.

Here is the same tray in the Master suite.  This one is 8 inches deep but with the same octagonal design.  Once the drywall is completed, I will install crown molding inside the tray.  The tray will also be painted with a different color on the ceiling than on the sides which will provide a contrast.

master bathroom showerThis last image is of the master bedroom shower.  We like to frame in the shower with wood and customize it with ceramic tile.  It will have a custom shower door and upgraded fixtures that match the ones used for the garden tub.

The house flip has come a long way since these pictures as the steps are now in and the windows are framed on all floors.  I will bring you more flicks in a few days.

I also would like to thank those of you who stumbled my site last week.  Although I went over my bandwidth, it was my first big influx of traffic in the short life of this blog.  Awesome!!!
